Tucker Carlson: The ‘revolution’ being waged in the George Floyd mob violence is against the working class

First they smashed the windows of police cars, and our elected leaders said nothing. It’s a political protest, they told us. We stand with the protesters.

Before long it grew. Mobs of menacing young men formed in the streets. They were clearly intent on violence, but no one in authority dared criticize them.

We understand their frustration, our leaders told us. America is a sinful country. Their grievances are legitimate.

And so the mobs grew larger, and they grew emboldened. Last Thursday, they came right to the front door of a police precinct in Minneapolis. The cops inside fled under orders from their mayor. The mob burned the building. But before they did, they looted the evidence room, and that ensured that many violent crimes will never be solved. They did this in the name of justice.

Still, our leaders did nothing. Most of them never even mentioned it, like it never happened. Instead, they issued yet more statements in solidarity with the mob.

Politicians, celebrities, corporate leaders, clergy, news anchors, professional athletes — almost every person in this country that we were raised from childhood to look up to, to respect, to listen to — all of them sided with the people burning police stations.

The mob saw this and grew stronger. On Monday night, they began shooting cops.

For 38 years, David Dorn was a police officer in the City of St. Louis. No one ever accused Dorn of racism. He was black. He is dead now. He was murdered Monday night by the mob. His killing was streamed live on Facebook, and then the violence accelerated from there.

In St. Louis alone, four other active duty police officers were shot Monday night. In Las Vegas, an officer took a bullet in the head. He is still in critical condition. Once the sun went down, cops all around this country found themselves under attack.

How many more nights like this can we take? How many more nights like this before no one in America will serve as a police officer? It’s not worth it. The people in charge hate you. The job doesn’t pay enough.

At that point, who will enforce the laws? Who will be in charge? Well, violent young men with guns will be in charge. They will make the rules, including the rules in your neighborhood. They will do what they want. You will do what they say. No one will stop them. You will not want to live here when that happens.

Chaos is the worst thing always, and wise leaders understand that. It’s obvious.

But it’s not obvious to Joe Biden. Biden gave a speech in Philadelphia Tuesday and was very different from the Biden of old. For years, Biden styled himself a patriot, a champion of ordinary people, but no longer. In Tuesday’s speech, Biden said nothing to defend police officers being murdered. Instead, he attacked them as instruments of “systemic racism.”

Joe Biden, presumptive Democratic presidential nominee: The moment has come for our nation to deal with systemic racism, to deal with the growing economic inequity that exists in our nation, to deal with the denial of the promise of this nation made to so many.

Our country is crying out for leadership, leadership that can unite us, leadership that brings us together. Leadership that can recognize pain and deep grief of communities that have had a knee on their neck for a long time.

“The moment has come,” says Joe Biden. This is the moment.

So the question is, how did murdering David Dorn advance the cause of racial justice exactly? No one explains; Biden didn’t. Meanwhile, Biden’s staff continues to send money to the rioters. Other Democrats followed in perfect sync.

How many more nights like this can we take? How many more nights like this before no one in America will serve as a police officer? It’s not worth it. The people in charge hate you. The job doesn’t pay enough.

In the city of Seattle, Councilwoman Tammy Morales all but endorsed the destruction of her own city.

Tammy Morales, Seattle councilwoman: What I don’t want to hear is for our constituents to be told to be civil, not to be reactionary, to be told that looting doesn’t solve anything.

And you know, it does make me wonder and ask the question why looting bothers people so much more than knowing that across the country, black men and women are dying every day, and far too often at the hands of those who are sworn to protect and serve.

Looting does solve things, says Tammy Morales. How dare you criticize it?

Prosecutors exist to push back against violations of the law. But across the country, many prosecutors seem on board with Tammy Morales and Joe Biden.

In the city of Dallas, a local report says the District Attorney John Creuzot is refusing to process rioters. That means they will automatically be freed to riot again.

In Massachusetts, the state attorney general, Maura Healey, applauded the riots and did it explicitly. She described the killing and looting underway as “a once in a lifetime opportunity. Yes, America is burning, but that’s how forests grow.”

This is the only revolution in history that’s being waged not on behalf of the working class, but against them.

That’s a verbatim quote from the chief law enforcement officer of Massachusetts. Maura Healey is happy to see American society become mulch. It makes good fertilizer.

The press isn’t simply covering the riots, meanwhile, but assisting the riots. At The New York Times, the most recent Pulitzer Prize winner, 2020 winner Nikole Hannah Jones, said that words you thought you knew the meaning of now have completely different meanings.

Violence, for example, when she supports it, isn’t really violence.

Nikole Hannah-Jones, The New York Times: Violence is when an agent of the state kneels on a man’s neck until all of the life is leached out of his body.

Destroying property which can be replaced is not violence and to put those things — to use the exact same language to describe those two things, I think, really — it’s not moral.

Violence is not violence if I approve of it. The person you were just listening to won the Pulitzer Prize. There’s something wrong with our system if that’s the person who gets the biggest merit badge.

BuzzFeed, meanwhile, published a guide for rioters. It included helpful tips like this: Wear nondescript clothing, cover up tattoos, don’t take photographs.

CNN didn’t criticize it. Needless to say, they’re on board.

Jim Acosta, CNN chief White House correspondent: It’s so remarkable to see military-style vehicles rolling through the White House complex, you know, I mean? It’s just not something that you normally see in the United States of America. It’s something that you see in more authoritarian countries.

Don Lemon, CNN anchor: Open your eyes, America. Open your eyes. We are teetering on a dictatorship. We are — this is chaos.

Has the president — I am listening — is the president declaring war on Americans?

I hope that they stand up and fight for their rights.

Now the entire country, according to his orders, we’re living under a militarized country.

He is playing a very dangerous game because this will backfire.

Uh-huh. It’s dangerous when we try and stop looting and burning and killing, says Don Lemon. I hope they stand up and fight, he says from the safety of his television studio.

But what exactly are they fighting for? They certainly are fighting. But why? Don’t ask Don Lemon. He doesn’t know — not a reader. Something about Trump probably.

What does Black Lives Matter say? Much of the rioting is being committed in their name. Go to their website if you have a minute. Here’s a post from three days ago: “Defund the police.”

That’s the position of Black Lives Matter, the most popular group in America among corporate leaders. Defund the police. No more cops. That’s what they’re fighting for.

That seems like a fringe position, but in the Democratic Party, it isn’t anymore. Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib has endorsed it as a sitting member. So has Jane Fonda, and so have many other celebrities. They said so in a recent open letter.

Then three days ago, The New York Times published a piece making the same demand: “No more money for the police.” No police. That’s right, the article calls for the elimination of all cops and all prisons in the United States.

So, if we did that, who would keep order? Well, The New York Times has an answer to that: “Rapid response, social workers would keep the peace.” Alternative emergency response programs — that’s their plan.

If you live in a gated community, it might sound like a good idea. You’ve got your own police force. You have no plans to replace them with rapid response social workers. So, you’re set, no matter what happens. There aren’t going to be any rapes on your street.

But what about everyone else? What’s going to happen to them? Don Lemon and Rashida Tlaib don’t care at all. Your neighborhood is not their problem. They’re in it for the revolution, and make no mistake, it is a revolution from above, aimed downward.

This is the only revolution in history that’s being waged not on behalf of the working class, but against them.

The abuse of capitalism by huge corporations will make America a socialist country

Tucker Carlson:  For more than 100 years the Boeing company has led international aviation. To this day it’s measured by dollar amounts. Boeing remains America’s single largest foreign exporter. But now like so many American institutions, Boeing is in trouble.  Last year the company’s latest generation of 737 airplanes was grounded worldwide following several horrifying crashes. There’s still no sign the planes will be allowed back in the air anytime soon. Production is being suspended. In business terms, this is a disaster, both for the company and for the airlines. How did it happen?

Well, at least part of the responsibility lies with CEO Dennis Muilenburg who has been in charge at Boeing since 2015. Fittingly, Muilenburg is now being fired, which on the face of it sounds like good news. Someone in corporate America is finally being held accountable for screwing up. But before you celebrate, wait for the fine print.  According to recent SEC filings, Muilenburg is walking away with more than $26 million in cash and stock, $26 million. That’s his punishment. And by the way, that figure could more than double to over $50 million depending upon the final terms of the settlement.

Here’s some context for how much money that is. A rank and file employee at Boeing might make $60,000 a year. That’s a decent salary in many places. It would take a worker more than 400 years to earn as much as the supposedly disgraced Dennis Muilenburg is getting in his severance package.  In other words, for his work presiding over deadly airplane crashes, Muilenburg is walking off with enough money to pay the median income for 420 American households.

And if that sounds perverse to you, keep in mind it’s no longer unusual.  Since 1978 CEO salaries in America’s largest corporations have risen by a factor of more than 10. Meanwhile, and this is the critical point, average workers have seen their wages stagnate — in some cases decline. In 1965, CEOs in this country earned 20 times as much as regular employees. As recently as 1989, they out earned employees just 58 to one. Today, that ratio has risen to 278 to 1.

No wonder people are sending money to Bernie Sanders. That’s what happens when you abuse the system. You discredit capitalism, and big business has in many cases done exactly that. Now, keep in mind, this isn’t happening everywhere on the globe. In Europe, for example, the disparities are much less stark. Airbus CEO Tom Enders made 10 million dollars in 2017. That’s a lot, but it was half as much as Boeing’s Dennis Muilenburg made, and Airbus planes didn’t even crash.

This is an ugly trend, but it’s actually worse than that. It’s dangerous for our country. Why? Well, because when normal people see their lives getting worse while failures like Dennis Muilenburg get rich beyond description, many, not surprisingly, conclude that our system is rotten and not worth keeping, and the polls show that’s happening right now. Attitudes are changing fast. Thanks to stories like this one, Americans are warming shockingly to socialism. Six months from now, a socialist could be the Democratic nominee for president. In a few years, this could easily be a socialist country. What would that look like?

Well, of course it would be a disaster. Socialism doesn’t work. It never has worked, especially not in sprawling, diverse countries like this one. Under a socialist regime, hundreds of millions of Americans would see their lives get dramatically worse, while demagogic morons like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would become vastly more powerful. That’s socialism. You think America is stratified and unequal now? Wait till we get a socialist system. It will be so much worse. That’s coming, by the way and at high speed. Why? Because mindless Chamber of Commerce libertarianism has allowed greed and stupidity to flourish in corporate boardrooms and unless we rein that immediately, right now, we’re going to lose the system that made this country great.

Elizabeth Warren’s tax plan soaks the middle class and gives a huge tax break to the rich

Democrats have an awful lot of ambitious spending plans ready to go if they retake the White House: Medicare for All (and all means illegal aliens), the Green New Deal, race-based reparations, etc., etc.. All of this is going to cost a lot of money, more than this country has spent, at least, since the Second World War. How are they going to pay for it?

Well, a new piece in The New York Times suggests how; it’s one of their favorite plans: abolish the cap on the payroll tax. Elizabeth Warren says she wants to hike the actual tax rate, too. So what would this mean?

Well, it would mean a massive tax hike for all middle income families that rely primarily on wages. Now this is the point to note: normal people rely on the money they make every two weeks. The people in charge of everything rely on dividends for which they are taxed one-half the rate of everyone else. So this tax plan would not harm the sinister rich that Elizabeth Warren bashes while depending on their donations; no, it would harm doctors, lawyers, dentists, software programmers, small business owners, people who are stuck working in America’s most expensive cities, who are paying off the most in student loans. They’re the ones who have to pay full freight for health care, child care, tuition, everything else, because they don’t qualify for any program. These are the people paying for everything and getting shafted.

The New York Times calls these people “the affluent” but, in fact, most of them are part of the middle class, the middle class that is declining as it gets more and more overstressed. But Democrats are ready to hurt these people, soak them even more in taxes because every dime
extracted from them is a dime that doesn’t have to come from the Democratic Party’s actual base: the ultra wealthy, in many cases, inherited wealthy in Silicon Valley, in Wall Street, and Washington DC.

Just so you know, they’re not gonna soak the rich; they’re gonna soak you.

There is a deep state controlling our government and destroying our democracy

The Left is trying to end free speech and overturn the First Amendment in addition to the Second Amendment

Tucker: There’s no value more American than free speech
Liberals working to crack down on the First Amendment, ban speech they don’t like.

GOOD EVENING, AND WELCOME TO “TUCKER CARLSON TONIGHT.”

It’s hard to think of an ideal more American than the freedom of speech. When people say our soldiers fight and die for our values, what they mean is our freedom to say what we think is true. That’s our birthright. It’s the most important thing we have, that we have ever had.

And so for generations, there was a bipartisan consensus about this. In fact, liberals were among the most stalwart defenders of the First Amendment and good for them.

But then the left took control of this country’s institutions. Liberals became the establishment they had one opposed, and suddenly free speech seemed like a challenge to the highly profitable existing order, the one they were getting so rich from.

So our schools began to teach our children that freedom of speech is a threat. In fact, it’s immoral. And over time the kids started to believe it. Why wouldn’t they?

At this point, nearly 60 percent of young people believe we should change the First Amendment to ban speech they don’t like. Now changing amendments is hard. Two-thirds of Congress would have to approve a change like that.

But on campuses, many students aren’t waiting for Congress to act. They’ve decided to impose censorship right now. Recently, kids at the purportedly impressive Northwestern University try to ban Jeff Sessions from speaking out loud.

It’s funny, you know, if you’re a middle-aged parent, sometimes you’re at dinner parties with other middle-aged parents and they’re talking about — bragging really — about what schools their kids go to and got into. You know, “Cody got into Northwestern. It’s really the Harvard of the Middle West.”

And you think, yes, that’s probably pretty impressive, right? No, that’s actually what it looks like. It’s not impressive at all! It’s pathetic.

A lot of these shallow neurotic narcissists that we’re making fun of will, in the end, wind up running this country. Those people writhing on the floor about how they’re so “threatened” — they’re going to be in charge.

Northwestern, by the way, is home to what they claim is a prestigious journalism school. And yet the student newspaper there apologized for daring to cover the Jeff Sessions event.

“Nothing is more important than ensuring that our fellow students feel safe,” the editors later explained, as if reporting was somehow a threat to student safety.

Meanwhile, over at Harvard, the student government association on campus — which, not incidentally, is the single most overrated collection of people on planet Earth — passed a statement condemning the student newspaper on campus because — listen to this — it had dared to ask the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) to comment on a story.

They didn’t endorse ICE. Someone just called up and said, “Hey ICE, can we get a comment?”

Now, ICE didn’t respond and didn’t provide a comment, but it didn’t matter. More than 650 students at Harvard — Harvard — signed a petition condemning the paper for contacting ICE.

The young Democrats at Harvard’s campus issued a statement claiming the paper had “deliberately chosen to put our students in jeopardy.” One campus activist group is now urging a boycott of the newspaper because calling ICE was just that scary.

It’s pretty funny.

On the other hand, it’s really kind of ominous because our meritocracy is essentially fraudulent, and our system is completely rigged for the benefit of a few. A lot of these shallow neurotic narcissists we’re making fun of will, in the end, wind up running this country.

Those people writhing on the floor about how they’re so “threatened” — they’re going to be in charge. They shouldn’t be. But because the system is rigged, they will be. They’ll be making the decisions that affect your life and the lives of your children and grandchildren.

And these are the people who literally couldn’t care less about the First Amendment or any amendment, or in fact, any document that might limit their power in any way. They consider themselves gods, and they’d like you to shut up and obey. And they’ll use force if they have to.

So what kind of place will America be when those people take over?

Elizabeth Warren is really just this season’s Hillary Clinton — faithful party robot, stalwart defender of the prerogatives of the establishment.

Tucker Carlson: Elizabeth Warren’s enemies on Wall Street and Big Tech are not really her enemies. Here’s why.

One thing we know for sure about Elizabeth Warren, above all else, is that on economic questions, she’s a sincere populist. Warren is deeply distressed by income inequality. She profoundly distrusts Wall Street and Big Tech. She hates monopolies and massive multi-generational concentrations of wealth.

So if you’re a private equity chieftain, for example, or a weed-smoking “trustafarian” living off family money in Jackson Hole, you’ve got to be terrified of Elizabeth Warren.

How could you not be terrified? Listen to her talk:

And they’re getting richer, faster and faster and faster, and everybody else is getting left behind.

The wealth tax — the two-cent wealth tax. God, I love that wealth tax, right?

I’m not willing to give up and let a handful of monopolists dominate our economy and our democracy. It’s time to fight back.

“Oh, it’s time to fight back against the monopolists who dominate our economy!” Sound familiar? Actually, that’s not too far from what Donald Trump ran on in 2016, back before Paul Ryan and the Ayn Rand people got ahold of his economic program.

But this time around, Elizabeth Warren plans to steal that message — the Trump message really. Warren claims that she is the radical populist here. She is the disruptor.

But is she? Let’s see.

Emily Tisch Sussman is a woke liberal who often appears in cable television to talk about Democratic politics. Nice person, but she is the daughter of two billionaires. So you’d think that Emily Tisch Sussman would hate Elizabeth Warren.

But she doesn’t. Instead, she demands that you support Elizabeth Warren. or else you’re sexist. Here’s what she said recently:

Emily Tisch Sussman, Democratic activist: I actually heard — overheard — someone saying what I thought was an interesting point: That basically at this point, if you are still supporting [Bernie] Sanders as opposed to Warren, it’s kind of showing your sexism because she has more detailed plans and her plans have evolved.

I thought it was an interesting point. And I think there may be something to it.

Yes, there might be something to it. If you don’t support Warren, you’re a sexist!

Now, keep in mind, you just saw one of the richest people on Planet Earth demanding that you support Elizabeth Warren for president. Surprising, right?

Well, actually, it turns out that some of Warren’s most fervent supporters are the very people she claims she wants to fight. Well, that’s weird.

So, for example, in the third quarter of this year, Elizabeth Warren raised more money from Silicon Valley, from those “monopolists” she claims to hate, than anybody else running for president.

Spotify’s CEO is an Elizabeth Warren fan; so is Silicon Valley venture capitalist and billionaire Chris Sacca. He has already maxed out to her campaign. Really? The billionaires supporting her?

Then last month, Charlie Gasparino over on Fox Business reported that Elizabeth Warren’s campaign is making overtures to finance moguls on Wall Street seeking contributions — and some of them are responding.

But wait a second. Why would Elizabeth Warren’s enemies — and these have got to be her enemies, she attacks them all the time on the campaign trail — why would her enemies fund her campaign?

We will give you five seconds to think about it, but the answer, of course, is they’re not really her enemies. They understand that Warren doesn’t really mean what she says. They know that Warren’s populism is a facade and underneath it all, she is really just this season’s Hillary Clinton — faithful party robot, stalwart defender of the prerogatives of the establishment.

That’s what it seems like she really is.

The real divide in our country is class, not race

What’s the point at which rhetoric forces action? When do words become incitement? At what point do political attacks get so reckless and unhinged that you can no longer heal the divide they create with politics? It’s hard to know exactly, but the left is getting very close to it. We could give you many examples of this, but we’ll begin with this exchange from last night on MSNBC. Watch as frequent guest Malcolm Nance accuses the president of the United States of sending secret messages to neo-Nazis:

NANCE: These people feel that they are the foot soldiers and executors of what the disenfranchisement that the white race is feeling and Donald Trump is giving them subliminal orders in their head.

Subliminal orders? Whatever his faults, you can be certain Donald Trump isn’t doing this. Trump is the least subliminal politician in American history. He has no subtext. If he’s thinking it, he says it. The claim is ludicrous. But at MSNBC, it wasn’t even the weirdest thing uttered on their air yesterday. That distinction goes to Frank Figluizzi, a former FBI official turned talking head-conspiracy nut. He used numerology to explain the President’s coded messages. Watch this, and keep in mind it’s entirely real. We haven’t edited a word:

Figluizzi: It’s the little things and the language and messaging that matters. The president said that we will fly our flags at half-mast until Aug. 8. That’s 8/8. Now, I’m not going to imply that he did this deliberately, but I am using it as an example of the ignorance of the adversary that’s being demonstrated by the White House. The numbers 88 are very significant in neo-Nazi and white supremacy movement. Why? Because the letter ‘H’ is the eighth letter of the alphabet, and to them the numbers 88 together stand for ‘Heil Hitler.

Got that? Eight is a racist number. That’s MSNBC’s position. In other words, things are getting dangerously crazy on the left. How crazy? On Monday, former Jeb Bush spokeswoman Nicolle Wallace explained that President Trump is planning a genocide of Hispanic Americans:

USA Today columnist Paul Reyes: He ramped it up again when he said “invasion” and warning people about the caravan. Words like “infestation”. What do you do with an infestation? The natural conclusion is attempt an extermination.

WALLACE: President Obama, he used the power of the presidency to try to pass comprehensive immigration reform with the Latino community, Latino leaders at the table. And now you have a president, as you say, talking about exterminating Latinos.”)

Exterminating Latinos. Keep in mind, Donald Trump got a higher percentage of the Hispanic vote than Mitt Romney did. It turns out that not all Latinos believe in open borders. A lot of them agree with Donald Trump. And yet the left is now telling you — and demanding that you believe — that anyone who supports Donald Trump is a white supremacist, and must be destroyed. They’re telling you that for political reasons. This is election season and they want more political power. But there are other reasons too.

Ever wonder why rich people seem the most hysterical on the subject? Ever notice that it’s the highest paid people on TV who are the most determined to convince you that white supremacy is America’s biggest problem? Why is that? Simple: every minute that you’re angry about race is a minute you’re not thinking about class, which of course is the real divide in this country. Working class people of all colors have a lot more in common with each other than they do with some overpaid MSNBC anchor. If you were allowed to think about that for long enough, you might start to get unauthorized ideas about economics.

That would be disruptive to a very lucrative status quo. So they whip you into a frenzy of racial fear so that it never enters your mind. It’s a diversion. Everyone else hates each other. They get to keep their money. Pretty tricky. Unfortunately, it’s destroying the country. For real. This is the path to civil war.

So we want to take a second to pass on a sincere message to official Washington, and particularly to our colleagues on the other cable news channels: Please, for the sake of the nation, calm down. Yes, America has problems. Racism is one of those problems. But so is a fading middle class, a terrifying drug epidemic, and a national debt that is growing by a trillion dollars a year. People realize their country is declining, and it’s making them turn to new political leaders. Donald Trump was one of them. Elizabeth Warren and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are others. This is a time of frustration and change. But America is not on the brink of genocide. Not even close. This is not a white supremacist country, plotting the slaughter its own people. It’s a kind country, full of decent people of all races who, like all people everywhere, make bad decisions from time to time, but mean well and generally try their best. Going forward, give them the benefit of the doubt, even when you disagree. Maybe especially when you disagree. These are your fellow Americans. Cut them a break. They deserve it. And remember: The alternative is disaster.

Political correctness and identity politics are merely the return of the McCarthy and Puritan witch hunts

Welcome to Watters’ World. I’m Jesse Waters. The beginning of the end: that is the subject of tonight’s Watters’ World; political correctness and identity politics, two poisons that liberals uncorked on America.

These tools are used as a weapon against the right and as a shield for the left. “You can’t say that, that’s offensive,” is their way of controlling and silencing you. Race, gender, sexuality, and immigration status are deployed when they need to protect themselves from legitimate criticism. “How dare you disagree with my policy. You’re just threatened by me because I’m a black, lesbian immigrant.”

Now most normal Americans are sick of this nonsense, and we’re used to it, and we have to be very careful to protect ourselves from being smeared all of the time. But now, ladies and gentlemen, these cheap and lousy tactics have begun to sweep into the left-wing playing field
and they’re getting a taste of how poisonous it can be as the casualties are beginning to stack up.

After AOC suggested Nancy Pelosi was racist for singling her out. Another member of her squad, Congresswoman Tlaib, told Nancy to knock off her criticism because it’s dangerous:

Tlaib: “Acknowledge the fact that we are women of color. So when you do single us out, be aware of that and what you’re doing, especially because some of us are getting death threats, because some of us are being singled out in many ways because of our backgrounds, because of our experiences and so forth.”

So the Democrat Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, a seasoned veteran in Washington, can’t criticize a small fry freshman Democrat because she’s a woman of color, and that puts her in danger? So her gender and race makes her untouchable. She can say or do whatever she wants and make Nancy’s life hell and cost the Democrats the House but you can’t rebuke her or disagree with her publicly.

Now I’m a straight white male and you should see the threats I get from these crazy lefties. Half of them are from my own mom. I’m not kidding about that.

Scarlett Johansson, great actress, and as a liberal she’s probably one of the biggest. She raised thousands of dollars for Barack Obama and Hillary and has campaigned hard for abortion, gay rights, but that’s not good enough for the PC police. After accepting a role to play a transgender man in the upcoming flick, Rub & Tug, she was forced to drop out of the film when activists demanded an actual trans actor play that part. The casting of Johansson in the movie, Ghost in the Shell, also faced backlash because her character was originally Asian in the source material.

So liberals are now telling the highest paid female actress in a male-dominated Hollywood industry that she can only play straight white female roles? Yep.

Whoopi Goldberg: “In a perfect, an Asian man would have played Charlie Chan. Mickey Rooney would not have played an Asian man, and the reason he played an Asian man is because they didn’t give roles to Asian people. That’s why in the early part of our history white people were dressed in blackface, something I know a little something about, and I understand why people were in it. The reason we don’t do it anymore is because we don’t have to: black people exist, Asian people exist, white people exist, transgender people exist.”

I mean, I agree with some of those old examples, but by Whoopi’s logic, now gay actors can’t play straight roles, or an Australian actor, like Hugh Jackman, can’t play an American. I wonder what role Liz Warren can play. The Academy Awards will never be the same. They’re not funny anymore because they don’t even have a host. Why? Because comedian Kevin Hart, another liberal guy and friend of Barack Obama, had to step down from hosting because he made a few gay jokes that he apologized for many times many many years before.

Now I’m not here to defend gay jokes but he’s a comedian, and the Oscars had been criticized tremendously for not featuring enough black talent and nominees and hosts over the years. It’s like an identity politics pretzel: who do you not offend? I guess nobody, because no hosts, no jokes, no radix.

Now we shouldn’t try to offend people but if people are offended, there are worse things to be: we can then make all up and we can all get along afterwards. No, that’s not good enough for everybody.

CNN: “Apologizing and moving on does not make the world a better place for people who are gay or people who are transgender; being an ally does.”

So no apology is accepted.

Now the next episode you will not even believe. Ready? The CEO of Planned Parenthood, Dr. Leana Wen, a prominent Asian physician, whose organization poured about 30 million into trying to elect Hillary, was just unceremoniously fired by the Board, BuzzFeed News reporting, that Ween refused to use trans-inclusive language. For example, she said women instead of people.

So the left is clearly cannibalizing themselves with the weapons designed to destroy Republicans. They’re turning those very weapons on each other now. It happened to Biden on that debate stage with Kamala. It’s happening in Hollywood and at Planned Parenthood. It’s even happening to Nancy Pelosi.

Tucker: No country can survive being ruled by people who hate it

Tucker responds to comments by Rep. Ilhan Omar following criticism made during ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight.’

Like many of you, we’ve been watching with amazement and alarm as the leaders of the Democratic Party, day after day, attack the country they say they want to govern.

It’s remarkable, and a very new development. Just a few years ago, even the most liberal Democrats in Congress felt obligated to say patriotic things about America. They may not have felt it, but they said it. Now, it’s routine to hear Democratic presidential candidates question the basic legitimacy of the United States.

Even supposed moderates, like Joe Biden, join in.

That should worry you. No country can survive being ruled by people who hate it. We deserve better. For all of our country’s flaws, this is still the best place in the world. Most immigrants know that and that is why they come here. It’s also why we’ve always been glad to have them here.

But now, there are signs that some people who move here from abroad don’t like this country at all. As we told you last night, one of those people now serves in our Congress.

Think about that for a minute. Our country rescued Ilhan Omar from the single poorest place on Earth. We didn’t do it for the money, we did it because we are kind people. How did she respond to the remarkable gift we gave her?

No country can survive being ruled by people who hate it. We deserve better. For all of our country’s flaws, this is still the best place in the world. Most immigrants know that and that is why they come here. It’s also why we’ve always been glad to have them here.

She scolded us, called us names, showered us with contempt. It’s infuriating. More than that, it is also ominous. The United States admits more immigrants more than any other country on Earth, more than a million every year. The Democratic Party demand we increase that by and admit far more. OK, Americans like immigrants, but immigrants have got to like us back.

That’s the key, it’s essential. Otherwise, the country falls apart.

REP. ILHAN OMAR CALLS FOR END TO CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION

We made that point last night. We will continue to make that point because it’s true and it’s important to say it out loud even if no one else is willing to.

Needless to say, the left went berserk.

In some ways, the real villain in the Ilhan Omar story isn’t Omar, it is a group of our fellow Americans. Our cultural gatekeepers who stoke the resentment of new arrivals and turn them into grievance mongers like Ilhan Omar. The left did that to her, and to us. Blame them first.

They hate it when you say true things. Ilhan Omar and her allies in Congress immediately demanded that this show be pulled off the air. They didn’t rebut what we said, any of our points, or even acknowledge them. They just try to silence us.

That is how they operate.

Of course, they called us racist. On one level that is amusing given how absurd the charges. This show, more than any other show on television, has taken an aggressive position in favor of color-blind equality and against racism, particularly the casual racism of the modern left.

We despise the current habit of judging people on the basis of their skin color. It’s wrong. We see that virtually every night. Racist? Now, we are against racism adamantly. Omar consistently puts her own race at the center of the conversation, but to us, it’s irrelevant.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali would, by the standard of identity politics, seem to have everything in common with Ilhan Omar. She was born in Somalia, moved to Kenya and eventually came to this country. Unlike Omar, she loves and cares about the United States. She believes this country is superior to the country she came from.

For saying that, the left despises her. Two Somali immigrants, one among the most impressive people in America. The other, among the least.

ILHAN OMAR ADMITS SHE MAY HAVE FLUBBED FACTS IN DRAMATIC STORY SHE TOLD HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

It’s not about race. But, of course, Omar and her friends already know that. Nothing they say on the subject of race is sincere. It’s all the hustle designed to get them what they want. Omar has made a career of denouncing anyone and anything in her way as racist. That would include virtually all of her political and personal opponents. It includes even inanimate objects like the border wall, that’s racist. So was the Congress, so is the entire state of North Dakota, she once tweeted.

Omar may be from another country but she learned young that crying racism pays. The bigger question is, who taught her that? She didn’t arrive from a Kenyan refugee camp announcing people as bigots for a political campaign. She wasn’t always a professional victim. That is learned behavior.

Importantly, she learned it here. In some ways, the real villain in the Ilhan Omar story isn’t Omar, it is a group of our fellow Americans. Our cultural gatekeepers who stoke the resentment of new arrivals and turn them into grievance mongers like Ilhan Omar. The left did that to her, and to us.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez AOC calls Nancy Pelosi a racist

PERINO: Democrats apparently running out of Republicans to attack so they’re turning on each other. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been battling back and forth with Nancy Pelosi. And now, AOC is suggesting that Pelosi’s criticism of her and other freshman Dems is racist. AOC is saying the persistent singling out — it got to a point where it was just outright disrespectful, the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color. Despite that smear, Pelosi isn’t backing down but neither is AOC.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Singling out four individuals. And knowing the medium we’re operating in, knowing the amount of death threats that we get, knowing the amount of concentration of attention, I think it’s just — it’s just worth asking why.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Do you think she has racial animus? Is she racist?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No, no. Absolutely not.

PERINO: Of course not, Greg. She just said that they didn’t really mean it.
GUTFELD: I really wish — I know that Juan might disagree with me. But I want the best for the Democrats, I really do because I think that every party — I do — every party benefits from a strong competitor, right? And they always get better. I know you don’t believe me. I don’t want this to happen. I don’t want them to eat themselves alive.
But in woke culture, it’s not about cooperating or uniting. It’s about delineating. I’m not a person like you. I am X,Y, and Z. Color, orientation, gender, disability, all of this becomes — you know, this intersectionality game of who’s better. Who’s more oppressed? And to win, you have to label everyone else intolerant, so what you’re left with is the tiniest party.
And it’s a movement — this whole thing is based on narcissism, right? Who can be the most woke and get the most attention? And it’s at the expense of your allies. So, AOC insults — it’s no question, when you said that she was — she was targeting women of color, she was saying she was being a racist. So —
PERINO: But then she said that she’s not. So what about — what about that, Juan, in terms of — you know, she pushes on Nancy Pelosi and then she pulls back. Well, Nancy Pelosi is trying to deal with her member management problem.
JUAN WILLIAMS, HOST: Well, I think this is bigger than Nancy Pelosi. But let me just say, I think she’s very clear this is actually not a claim that Nancy Pelosi was racist. And, boy, was there blowback from Nancy Pelosi’s caucus in terms of blacks and Latinos saying this is crazy. Look at how diverse this caucus is, and that’s because of Nancy Pelosi.
And there was blowback in terms of some of the comments made about moderates, especially southern Democratic moderates, Dana. And some of those Southern Democratic moderates, guess what? They’re black. And they said, wait a minute, what are you talking about, right?
So I think she’s getting blowback within the caucus. But I think that part of this is that, you know, people are reluctant — we’re reluctant to talk about generational divides in our country. We like to talk about race, you know. We can talk about —
GUTFELD: I think that’s the opposite.
WILLIAMS: No, I think —
GUTFELD: We love talking about generations. We hate race.

GUTFELD: By the way, they went after Mayor Pete, too. They went after Mayor Pete.
WILLIAMS: No, hang on, hang on. Let me finish this point. They don’t — I think we as a country do not say, hey, you know what, there’s a huge generational divide in the country, and a huge generational divide among Democrats, with the younger part of the country right now. It’s mostly Democratic, heavily diverse in terms of race, immigrants, and the like. And the older part of the Democratic Party is more — I think it’s diverse but —
GUTFELD: But they love Bernie. The young ones love Bernie.
WILLIAMS: Correct. What is that point?
GUTFELD: My point is, generational — I mean, you’ve got the younger progressives are flocking to Bernie, not to Mayor Pete. So it’s not generational is what I’m saying. Let me explain it again.
WILLIAMS: OK.
(LAUGHTER)
WILLIAMS: I think the younger people might, in fact, like a Bernie, or like the more progressive politics and the like. But they are really angry that the older folks, as they see it, don’t respond to the bullying, to the punching that comes from President Trump. They say, hey, how come you guys don’t fight like President Trump. And why don’t you punch back? The older crowd is saying, hey, I know how to count votes on the House floor.
PERINO: Right.
PERINO: I know how to win elections. All you guys do is talk about clicks on twitter.
PERINO: Yeah, she talks about — Nancy Pelosi called them the squad.
JESSE WATTERS, HOST: The squad. That elevates them by giving them a nickname. So I don’t know if that was the best technique. Juan, the older Democrats tried to stage a coup against the president. I think they’ve been fighting the president pretty damn hard the last two years. But I also strongly disagree with Greg. I want to see the Democratic Party destroy itself. I want to see eat itself alive.
They’ve uncorked this bottle — this virus, this identity politics virus, and now it’s eating them. And now they’re upset about it. Oh, really? You guys are upset because the last five years, anytime you criticize Barack Obama, racist. You criticize Omar, oh, Islamophobic. You criticize the captain of the U.S. soccer team, sexist and homophobic. So, you know what? The chickens have come home to roost, to quote the pastor of Barack Obama.
And it’s sad because the only time you play the race card and the gender card is because you don’t have any cards left to play. And that’s what you said right here when you cited this Democratic lawmaker. She sounds like a Republican. She — William Lacy Clay, excuse me, male Democrat from Missouri. What a weak argument talking about AOC because you can’t get your way. And because you’re getting pushed back you resort to using the race card? That’s unbelievable to me.
So that’s what Republicans have been saying for so long that it’s a weak response when you can’t persuade to make an argument. And I will say lastly, they haven’t been singled out. They singled themselves out. They were the only four people to vote, while 240 others voted the other way. And they’ve all been lightning rods since they got in. They’re always getting all the attention. Nancy hasn’t singled themselves, they’ve done it to themselves.
PERINO: Can I make a point? I’m going to make a point. So, the squad only has four votes right now, but they don’t need that many more votes in order to cause Nancy Pelosi real headaches. It would take about 18 votes for them to not be able to pass things. So, if people get increasingly frustrated with the establishment. That could happen.
EMILY COMPAGNO, HOST: And that’s why I think it’s important for somehow there to be a balance of energy. And to me this entire thing is like — you know when you go out to dinner with another couple and they get into an argument in front of you. They’re bickering. It’s just — it’s too achy. It makes everyone uncomfortable. And to me —
GUTFELD: I enjoy that.
WATTERS: I enjoy it, too.

COMPAGNO: Like, do it at home. Because, to me, it’s like a sorority squabble. And more than generational, it’s a maturity difference, too. I agree the squad singled themselves out. It’s like they showed up on the first day wearing the same t-shirt and now are aghast at the thought —
PERINO: What was it? On Wednesdays we wear pink?
COMPAGNO: Totally. And so — but I think, importantly, moving forward, that Pelosi has to prove to her centrist district that AOC and the squad are not setting the agenda. And then also, however, she needs to harness that energy like I said in the beginning because otherwise she can lose the speakership if the Democrats do hold the House or maintain the House moving forward.
So somehow they have to figure it out. But to me it’s better done behind closed doors, strategically, rather than playing out like a reality show.
